D-term lowpass filter
The D-term lowpass attenuates noise specifically on the derivative (D) term — the noisiest part of the PID loop.
Too little and D-term noise heats the motors; too much adds delay and reduces D's damping. PIDoctor reads the D-term spectrum and recommends dterm_lowpass cutoffs that balance noise against delay.
